Finalist at the National Mentoring Matters Awards
Dr Minha was a finalist at the National Mentoring Matters Awards in London – nominated by her own mentor as an outstanding mentee.
There was a twist in Dr Minha’s recognition at the National Mentoring Matters Awards, held in the City of London on 12 March 2026. She wasn’t a finalist for mentoring someone else. She was a finalist nominated as an outstanding mentee by her own mentor.
The awards, run by the Association of Business Mentors with Newable, celebrate the mentoring relationships built through the UK Government’s Help to Grow: Management programme, the subsidised course that pairs small-business leaders with experienced mentors. Dr Minha’s mentor, a semi-retired Edinburgh businesswoman, put her forward, recognition of a mentee who, in Dr Minha’s own words, did all the homework she was set.
“Like a big sister to me” is how she describes her: someone who simply wanted to give back. It is a reminder of something easy to forget, that the people we turn to for guidance need guidance of their own, and that the mark of a good clinician, or a good founder, is a willingness to keep being a student.
That two-way spirit runs through everything at Curaidh Clinic. From the IH3 network of practitioners to Dr Minha’s own habit of bringing colleagues with her as she goes, mentorship is not a nicety at the edges of the work. It is part of how a young, ambitious clinic grows well.
