Duty of Candour Statement
Every healthcare professional must be open and honest with patients when something goes wrong with their treatment or care, which causes, or has the potential to cause, harm or distress.
Where this happens, the Duty of Candour procedure requires that the patient be informed, an apology be offered, appropriate support or remedial action be provided, and a full explanation of what happened and any potential effects be given.
At Curaidh Clinic, this duty sits alongside Dr Minha Rajput-Ray's own approach to care: transparency and honest communication with patients, particularly those managing complex or long-term conditions, are part of how the clinic works day to day, not only a regulatory requirement.
Reportable Incidents
During the reporting period (4 April 2024 onwards) there were:
- Number of Duty of Candour incidents: there were no incidents that met the threshold for Duty of Candour within Curaidh Clinic during this period
